Sadness...

Yesterday was a very sad day.....

One of my best friends lost her baby....

I called her back after realizing I missed her call, for my phone was in my coat with the ringer off since thats where it was when I went to school....so when she answered she was crying, and thats when she told me and asked me to take her to the hospital.

I was out there door in less than 3 mins tops. Just long enought to get my coat and purse, tell kevin real fast kiss him goodbye, then I was gone. Luckily I hadn't run into any cops while I was going about 90 all the way to her house.

When I got there, her fiance' was already there and I helped get her and her little girl ready to go. Her fiance took her daughter and I took her into the ER. Later my mom came up there to get her daughter so she could get dinner in her and a bath and possibly a nap since she was so tired. I didn't stay long after I got her to the hospital, just long enough to get her checked in, and brought into the exam room, and then they were going to do a pelvic exam so I told her I had to come back home. Kevin was leaving around 4 so I told him I'd watch lily until Tina came to get her. It was only about a half hour til she got her, then I went back to the hospital. My friend refused to let them put a catheter in her to fill up her bladder so they could get an ultrasound, so she was in the process of drinking lots of water to fill it up. Soon after they took her to the ultra sound....I kept hearing them paging someone to get her from there, and I figured if they paged one more time then I would go down there and get her myself, after all, I do work there and know where everything is...

So finally she came back and we just had to wait for the results. We were just talking and bull shitting, trying to keep her mind off the pain and the worry. Then the doctor came in and said she was indeed having a miscarriage. They called it an incomplete abortion, which is also called an incomplete miscarriage or natural miscarriage. Basically, something must have been wrong with the fetus, and the bidy recognized it and destroyed it. They said she should still be able to try having kids again, so that at least was a plus. She was only 7 weeks and 1 day...

I felt helpless....she was crying and I could feel her pain, but there's nothing anyone can do to change it. I helped her get dressed and we got her in the car and I went to my car, and they went home. I got some chinese food, then went home and had dinner.

We love her and just want her to know we all love her and are thinking of her, and am sorry for the way things happened....
